Vartika Patani has a strong educational foundation, having pursued BE in Mechanical Engineering, followed by an MBA in Marketing. Her career journey began as an HR recruiter and has evolved to her current role as a Senior Education Counselor in the Ed tech industry, where she guides students towards their future paths. Vartika believes a good counselor should be warm, friendly, and approachable to not only students but also their parents and teachers. Her key skills include active listening, empathy, a non-judgmental attitude, patience, building rapport, self-awareness, confidence, maintaining professional boundaries, and offering encouragement. Vartika sees one-to-one counseling as a therapeutic space where people can freely express their thoughts without fear of judgment. It provides self-discovery, self-acceptance, and mental peace. The benefits include building confidence, direction, mental clarity, guidance in life, and comprehensive advice on careers, courses, and jobs for students. If appointed as the Education Minister for a day, Vartika would emphasize practical applications of curriculum concepts and work toward the removal of the quota reservation system.
